Education Scholarship Grants

2023

Proposed

Recently Florida expanded (Florida’s Family Empowerment Scholarship Program) education savings account program to all K-12 students, allowing more parents to access grants that can be used to subsidize alternative educational options like brick-and-mortar private schools, and online private schools. Families could also choose to use grant funding for other academic expenditures including tutors and transportation to and from eligible education programs.

Florida’s scholarship programs, the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) give students learning options not available to them because of their financial circumstances.

Both programs provide private school scholarships or help with transportation costs to an out-of-district public school.

Controlled Open Enrollment

Florida has controlled open enrollment that allows students to pick the public school of their choice no matter where the school is located (within Florida). Parents and their students can take advantage of this valuable option by visiting multiple public schools to discover which one is the best fit for your family. Traditional public schools aren’t all the same
